February is in full swing at the AzMNH!

During the month of February, the AzMNH is the place to be! 

    On February 4th, we opened our new exhibit "Rulers of the Prehistoric Skies", to the public. Rave reviews ensued. This exhibit focuses on the evolution of flight from insects (the true first fliers) to vertebrates, and everything in between. This 'must see' exhibit will be opened from now, until February of 2013. 

BUT... that's not the only thing happening in February. Take a look at these events...

Meet the Author - Conrad Storad

AzMNH members = Free
Non – members = Special discount admission fee - $4.00 for all students and their adult chaperones.  Adults = $7.00 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on day of event.
 No discounts or passes accepted for this event.

Arizona Museum of Natural History (AzMNH) is thrilled to host Conrad J. Storad as part of the AZ Scitech Festival.   Storad writes informative and entertaining science and nature books for children and young adults.  He is the author of more than 30 books such as Rattlesnake Rules and Desert Night Shift:  a Pack Rat Story.  He is a celebrated children’s author who has won numerous literary awards, and we are honored to have him at the museum.  Along with Conrad Storad, AzMNH will also be hosting JR and Big Mama!  Be prepared to have fun, fun, fun!  



     Jurassic Park- Movie viewing and discussion with Paleontologist

 AzMNH Members = Free
Non – members = Special discount admission fee - $4.00 for children under 18 years and students.
All other adults = $7.00.
No discounts or passes will be accepted for this event.

Jurassic Park –See the movie like never before, with an AzMNH paleontologist!  Ever wonder if the dinosaurs in the movie looked, or moved that way in real life? Well now is your chance to find out! Following the showing there will be a lively discussion including a question and answer session that YOU can be a part of! 



  Sid the Science Kid, Dinosaur Dig!

1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Members = Free
Non-members = regular museum admission fees for all others
Meet Sid the Science Kid, learn how paleontologists dig for dinosaurs, visit the Paleo Dig Pit, see Dinosaur bones, hear stories and participate in crafts! Fun for budding Paleontologists of all ages!
